Let someone journey with you.

Whiteness is invisible by design to those who are raised within it. That means that even when we who identify as white begin to awaken to the reality that our sense of identity is enmeshed with racial hierarchies and injustice, even with the best of intentions, it’s hard to know where to go from there.

Furthermore, one of Scott’s mentors—Dr. Willie James Jennings—states that you can’t fight whiteness with whiteness. As one of the core elements of whiteness is individualism, that means that we’re not going to do well on this journey of racial awakening alone.

Scott loves to come alongside white folks who are serious and determined to grow, but need help, guidance, and community. He’ll listen to what you’re grappling with, offer growth exercises, and leave you with a plan for growth after coaching.

Generally, this involves one-hour zoom or phone sessions once per week or every other week, anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
